About IeDEA Asia-Pacific
The overall scientific goal of IeDEA Asia-Pacific is to evaluate the impact of HIV disease, co-infections, co-morbidities, and antiretroviral therapy management on short- and long-term clinical and programmatic outcomes in the region, and compare them across the IeDEA global consortium.
This goal is achieved through the study of established regional cohort databases and innovative sub-studies and data resources representing over 100,000 children, adolescents, and adults. The research program addresses four priority areas:
i. adult HIV disease, treatment, and co-infection outcomes;
ii. pediatric and adolescent HIV disease, treatment, and co-infection outcomes;
iii. cancer risk, screening, and treatment outcomes; and
iv. the impact of drug use on HIV risk and treatment outcomes.
